What Are You Making for Christmas?

We’re mostly doing a homemade Christmas this year and I thought it would be fun to compare notes with other people who are making Christmas gifts. A few of the things I’m making are:
Button wreaths and bulletin boards
Charm bracelets
Collage ornaments and jewelry

I’m helping my niece and nephew make personalized picture frames for their mom.

My brother is blacksmithing and knitting up a storm. I don’t know everything he’s making, but I did coax him into giving me one thing early – an over the door wreath hook for my house. So gorgeous.

I heard my mom on the sewing machine when I called her yesterday, so it is safe to assume some of us are getting some of her gorgeous handsewn creations.

We are also doing a home-made christmas. My mother is making photo quilts. I am making my nieces fabric dolls with button eyes and nose’s. not sure what to do for my nephews but i like your jewelry ideas. I might try that for the older girls.

The dolls sound so cute. I don’t know what to do for our little guy either. I think my brother’s making him a hat and scarf set, but toy wise…maybe a monster fabric doll.

I would love to see what these button wreaths look like. I love making stuff around Christmas! Bulb wreaths are cute too. Glass or plastic bulbs, a straw wreath and a hot glue gun are all u need. My mom made one last year, it was divine!! If anyone has some directions on how to make this button wreath, please let me know I’d love to try it. :)

    Holly,
Here are a ton of pictures on flickr:

You just glue the buttons on in several layers until you are pleased with the way they look.

For my three 4yr old grandaughters, I am making jewelry boxes. An inexpensive wooden hinged box, stain (I had), character stickers, poly and peel & press felt.
My grandson(10) & best friend(50) will be getting homecrafted John Deere wooden clocks. One in character stickers and one burned in. Anyone know where I might be able to purchase the hands in a shovel and hoe?
