Purim is on March 3rd this year. Since one of the big traditions of this holiday is to give a gift of food or money to someone in need, why not create special baskets for the giftees? Decorate those plain baskets with little doll shoes with Haman’s name written on the bottom, tie on a bag of chocolate coins and add a gold paper crown to symbolize Esther.
Of course, making a paper crown can be a craft all by itself. Cut a crown shape from posterboard. Decorate the crown with faux jewels or sequins. If you can find someone willing to play the evil Haman, use the crown as a prop to hold a play with the story of Esther.
