We’re making dragons to celebrate Chinese New Year. All you need is:
- an egg carton (the cardboard kind)
- pipe cleaners
- scissors
- decorative papers and glue
- picture of a dragon’s face or crayons to draw your own face
Cut the carton apart and flip the parts that hold the eggs over to form three or four segments of the dragon. Cover the segments with your decorative papers (or paint them with Tempura paint.) Poke a hole in one side of the two end segments and two holes in your middle segments so you can connect them with the pipe cleaners. Add the dragon’s face. We added some glitter and sequins to really make our dragons sparkle.
By the way, 2007 is the year of the boar, so pig crafts would be a great idea, too.
